Terms: By accessing this website at www.lumospc.com, which includes the LUMOS mailing list, blog, and access to the LUMOS Facebook page (referred to collectively hereafter as the “LUMOS website”), you are agreeing to be bound by these terms of service, all applicable laws and regulations, and agree that you are responsible for compliance with any applicable local laws. If you do not agree with any of these terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this site, the LUMOS mailing list, or the LUMOS Facebook page. The materials contained in this website and all linked sites are protected by applicable copyright and trademark law.
Nature of Site: This website has several purposes, which are set forth as follows:
- To market LUMOS’s counseling practice, and available services through this practice with Therapist Kelsey Siegel, LPC, LMHC.
- To provide information and resources on mental health treatment.
- This website also contains a blog with the purpose of:
- Sharing information and resources on trauma, mental health, and addiction
- Sharing information on integrative and holistic approaches to treatment
- Sharing information from other professionals that contribute to the purpose of this blog
- Providing updates on new services available through LUMOS with Kelsey Siegel, LPC, LMHC, both clinical and non-clinical.

Maintaining Professional Boundaries: As part of its general business practices, LUMOS provides therapeutic services to individuals. It is important to understand how LUMOS, and its owner Kelsey Siegel, LPC, LMHC, may use this website (other than general viewing purposes), blog, and social media to promote services. It is not recommended nor is it required for active, former, or potential therapy clients to “subscribe”, “follow”, “like”, or otherwise engage or use this website, the LUMOS Facebook Page, or any other social media used to promote this business. Please understand LUMOS, and owner Kelsey Siegel, LPC, LMHC cannot “subscribe”, “follow”, “like”, or otherwise engage in the social media presence, whatever that may be, of a current or former client. These professional boundaries are integral to maintaining the therapeutic relationship and process, and also serve to protect your confidentiality.
Notice of Confidentiality Risk: In any therapeutic relationship, confidentiality is extremely important. If you are (1) Considering seeking mental health treatment; (2) A current client; or (3) A former client, it is important to understand that “liking” “following” or otherwise engaging in social media posts on the LUMOS website may result in your confidentiality being compromised. Therefore it is not recommended that current or former therapy clients: (1) “Like” or “follow” the LUMOS Facebook page; (2) Follow or engage in social media posts on the LUMOS website; or (3) Or subscribe, follow, use, or engage in any other way with this website as these actions can compromise your confidentiality. If you choose to engage in the online presence of this business through the LUMOS website or any of the above ways, you do so with the understanding that you are solely responsible for the outcome.
Psychiatric Emergency: LUMOS and owner Kelsey Siegel, LPC, LMHC do not provide psychiatric emergency services via electronic communication including on the LUMOS website or other LUMOS electronic communications, including business email, or any other online access. If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, you are advised to immediately contact 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.
Electronic Communication Privacy Risk: Please be advised that email transmissions are potentially capable of being intercepted, therefore any confidential information that is sent or received cannot have its privacy guaranteed. By requesting an emailed response, you are acknowledging that you are aware of the risks to your privacy and indicating that you will take responsibility for any related consequences. However, LUMOS has taken every step in attempting to ensure the confidentiality of your information. To that end, LUMOS utilizes the confidential e-mail service company “Hushmail”, which is HIPPA compliant.

Our privacy policy has been designed and created to ensure those affiliated with LUMOS recognize our commitment and realization of our obligation to not only meet but to exceed most existing privacy standards.
