Every case starts with a completely free in person consultation. In person consultations are incredibly important- it’s an opportunity to meet each other, discuss your particular needs and see how I can help. It’s also a great way to see if you’re comfortable with my treatment style and personality.

I practice psychodynamic therapy – but with a twist. Psychodynamic therapy primarily focuses on processing your experiences in order to increase awareness of how your past is influencing your present. Any experience, relationship, or conflict might be relevant to what’s happening to you now, and I’m here to help you explore them.  Here is where the “twist” comes in: unlike many other psychodynamic therapists, I am eclectic in my technique and truly believe in concrete skills to help someone in the moment.

A psychodynamic treatment approach involves exploring all of your emotions, including the ones you may not even aware of! This means that a lot of our work together will be getting to the root of the problems, rather than only focusing on the symptoms. Bringing these unresolved issues to the surface can not only give you tremendous relief, but also help you accept and love yourself for who you are.

Finding a therapist is a lot like trying on shoes – you need to find the right fit! Again, this is why in-person consultations are so important. This way, we can both evaluate if we are a good match before treatment begins. If you would like to learn more information about me and my treatment style, please check out the Meet Kelsey B. Siegel Section of this website.

My practice has a direct focus on adults 18+. While I work with a variety of issues, I have a special emphasis on anxiety, depression, grief, relationship issues (including pre and post-divorce), as well as addiction/substance abuse. Often times, these issues come with a history of trauma, which has become a big focus of mine as well. Please note that I do not offer services for children, or family therapy where children under the age of 18 are involved.

Each individual session is 45-50 minutes long, while group sessions are 1 hour.  I also offer couples and family sessions on a very limited basis – these sessions are typically 1 hour as well, though longer sessions are not uncommon.

The duration of your treatment is up to you!  I am a big believer in long term therapy, but I understand that it may not be right for everyone. As such, I offer both short and long term options. Treatment planning, in general, is something that will be discussed regularly so that we stay on the same page as you move forward.

Individual sessions: $160

Group sessions $75

Couple’s/ Family sessions: $200

I accept cash, check, credit card, zelle and HSA/FSA cards.

At this time, I do not accept any insurance and am considered an Out-of-Network provider. However, I can provide you with a detailed receipt for each session so that you can potentially be reimbursed by your insurance company. Reimbursement rates can be anywhere from 0-90%, which may largely decrease overall costs. I can also take Health Savings account/Flexible spending account cards directly via a card reader.

All questions are welcome. Starting this process can be incredibly confusing and difficult, so it’s important to ask questions. If you have something specific you would like to discuss, please feel free to reach out and ask!
